ABEM Certifying Exam

Communication Stations

An Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is a short, standardized patient encounter. These stations mirror the new Certifying Exam's communication cases: you speak with a patient, family member, or colleague, and you are scored on how you actually conduct the conversation (rapport, clarity, empathy, and professionalism), not on naming the right move.
